Unemployment currently stands at 2.5 million in UK. Iain Duncan-Smith, the Work and Pensions Secretary, claims that the problem is not so much a lack of vacancies, but rather a failure to match people to existing jobs. We would agree.
There are currently 500,000 vacant jobs in the UK, but the quality of applications is generally poor with applications often failing to show how a candidate is suitable for a particular vacancy. There is a case for better support from Government for those seeking employment but the key to a successful job search is to get a top notch CV, make sure your cover letter highlights your skills and experience for the vacancy in question and you prepare thoroughly for the interview.
If there is any doubt about the quality of a CV, cover letter or if you are nervous about how to handle an interview, professional help is affordable and readily available. take a look at www.perfectcvs.co.uk
